Brooke
ClevengerBrooke Clevenger is the fourth grade Language Arts teacher. She attended
Brookville High School, then graduated from Wright State University in 2008.
Following her undergraduate work, she attended the University of Dayton to earn
her license in middle childhood education (4-9 Language Arts and Social
Studies). Mrs. Clevenger is also the 7th grade girls'
basketball coach.

Nancy Grosch
Nancy Grosch is the fourth grade math teacher. She was born and raised in
Rockford, Ohio (northern Mercer County), where she graduated from Parkway
High School. Both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees are from Wright State
University. She began at Arcanum in the fall of 1989 after teaching as a
substitute for a year in Mercer and Van Wert counties. She enjoys reading,
walking, bike riding, spending time with family, and involving herself in
church activities.
Joel
Hootman
Joel A. Hootman comes to
Arcanum from the small town of Polk, Ohio. He grew up in a small rural
community very similar to Arcanum. With an interest in music, he met and
married Mrs. Becky Coblentz, the music teacher at Arcanum. Together, they
enjoy their music interests, as well as raising their family which includes
three adopted children and several dogs and cats. Beginning his career in
the fifth grade, he has taught predominately Language Arts in the fourth
grade or fifth grade for over twenty years in the district. His educational
experience includes a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from
Ashland University, and a Master's of Arts in Teaching through the Ohio
Writing Project.
