Cosi on Wheels: The Incredible Human Machine
COSI's Body Mechanic helped students learn what it takes to keep their engines in tip-top shape. Students explored the digestive, nervous, and circulatory systems, plus learned about nutrients and how exercise keeps a body healthy.
Elementary Spelling Bee
On November 22, eighteen fourth graders participated in the annual Arcanum Elementary Spelling Bee. Ten rounds later, only two students remained to battle for the title of Spelling Champion. It took another five rounds before Cheyenne Garber was crowned Champion. Cheyenne will represent the elementary at the County Spelling Bee held here at Arcanum on January 19th. Runner-up Braden Garbig will serve as the alternate in the event if Cheyenne is unable to participate. Sydney Artz and Audrey Heiser tied for third place, making it all the way to the tenth round. Congratulations to all of the participants!
Wounded Warrior Project Bake Sale
The Second Grade sponsored a bake sale to raise money for the Wounded Warrior's Project in honor of Veteran's Day. Students sold bake goods during lunch and successfully raised $671.60. Thanks to all that participated!
