Art Courses

 Art I

  Grade: 9, 10, 11, & 12        Prerequisite: Interest in art

   Art I is an introductory course that will expose students to aesthetics, art appreciation, art history, and art production.  Students will become familiar with art terminology, design elements and principles, basic drwing and painting techniques, introduction to computer graphics, three dimensional design and art careers.  Creativity, self-expression and problem solving are skills enhanced by Art I.

Art II  

   Grade: 10, 11, & 12   Prerequisitie: Art I, C average or better

    Art II is a course that will further explore aesthetics, art apperciation, art history, and art production.  Students will enhance their skills in drawing and paintion, computer graphics, and three-dimensional design.  Creativity, self-expression and problem solving are skills enhanced by Art II.

 Art III 

   Grade: 11 & 12    Prerequisite: Art II, C average or better

   Art III is a course that will further explore aisthetics, art apperciation, art history, and art production.  Students will enhance their skills in drawing, paintion, computer graphics, three-dimensional design and areas of special interest.  Students will also be investigating art careers, art colleges/schools and assembling a portfolio as needed for acceptance to an art school.  Creativity, self-expression and problem solving are skills enhanced by Art III.

 Art IV 

  Grade: 12    Prerequisite: Art III, B average or better

  Art IV is a course that will further explore aesthetics, art appreciation, art history, and art production.  Students eill enhance their skills in areas of special interest.  Students eill also be investigation art careers, art college/schools and assembling a portfolio as needed for acceptance to an art school.   Creativiey, self expression and problem solving are skills enhanced by Art IV.
