Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year. I am excited to start my 7th year as the Superintendent of Arcanum-Butler Local Schools and look forward to providing service and leadership to the Arcanum-Butler Local School District. The mission of our district is to provide a caring and safe environment where students are challenged to become lifelong learners and productive citizens. To do so, we must continue to work as a community to provide the necessary support and encouragement for all of our students.
Arcanum-Butler Local Schools encourages our students and staff to embrace The Trojan Way. We believe that taking pride in all that we do and striving for excellence will continue to place our district at the top of the county and region in academic performance, and prepare our students intellectually, socially and emotionally.
The Board of Education, Administration and District Leadership Team will continue to provide leadership and support district initiatives through the Continuous Improvement Plan or CIP. Goals and action plans will be developed for on-going professional development and monitoring of progress. The CIP can be accessed here on our district website.
It is an exciting year as the district moves forward with constructing a new 19,000 square foot multi-purpose and agricultural educational facility. I am proud of the growth of our ag education and FFA programs that have helped fuel the need to provide adequate facilities for a full-functioning program. The plan is for construction to begin early in 2019 with the goal of utilizing the facility for the start of the 2020 school year. It has been an exciting time as our community and county has rallied around our fundraising efforts to make the building become a reality!
On behalf of the district, I want to thank you for your continued support of our students and invite you stay connected and informed throughout the year. The Arcanum-Butler School District continues to be an outstanding place for students to learn and grow!
