*Bradshaw and Stephens Compete at Regionals

Marci Bradshaw and Isaac Stephens competed in the OHSAA Regional Cross Country race last weekend along the scenic river at Troy High School Stadium.  A huge crowd cheered the runners on.  Marci finished 25th out of 126 runners in her race and Isaac 64th out of 132 runners in his race. Congratulations to both of them and Coach Kessler on a great season. 


*Trojans Defeat Hawks - Win 3 in a Row

The HS football team extended their winning streak to 3!  The Trojans defeated Mississinawa Valley picking up a 21-6 victory.  The Trojans again were stellar with their ground game racking up 343 total yards rushing.  Daniel O’Donnell tallied 193 yds rushing and Brandon Kinney 132.  The Trojan defense stepped up as well holding Mississinawa Valley to only 6 points.  Austin Baker and Brandon Kinney led the defense with 9 tackles each


*Lady Trojan Volleyball Players Pick Up Conference Awards

The Arcanum volleyball team was well represented in the end of season CCC All-Conference selections.  Alexis Abner earned 1st Team All Conference.  Becca Deao was selected 2nd Team All Conference while Emily Miller earned Special Mention All Conference.  Congratulations!


*Abner Selected as Darke County Daily Advocate Athlete of the Week


Congratulations to Alexis Abner for being selected as the Daily Advocate's Athlete of the Week for Darke County.  Alexis has been a huge part of the volleyball team's success this year.  She is tied for first place among all Darke County volleyball players this season with 47 aces and ranks in the top 10 in the county with 227 digs.


*High School Cheerleaders Win Booster Cheer Competition

The Arcanum High School Cheerleaders claimed 1st place in the 3rd Annual Booster Club Cheer Competition Sunday at Arcanum High School.  The girls impressed the judges with their synchronized moves and high flying acrobatics that placed them at the top.  Congratulations to Coach Goubeaux and the girls on a great performance.


*Bradshaw and Stephens Advance to Regionals

Congratulations to Marci Bradshaw and Isaac Stephens for advancing to the OHSAA Cross Country Regionals.  Marci finished 12th and Isaac finished 9th in last Saturday's Districts.  The top 16 runners advanced.  Marci and Isaac will be running at Troy this Saturday Oct. 25.  The girls will race at 130pm and the boys at 11am.  Good Luck Marci and Isaac!


*Arcanum Daily Advocate Athlete of the Week


Congratulations to Daniel O'Donnell for being selected at the Daily Advocate Athlete of the Week.  Daniel has racked up yardage on the ground and through the air for the Trojan football team.  He rushed for 162 yards last Friday night vs. Middletown Christian.


*Lady Trojans Advance in Sectional Tournament

The Lady Trojan volleyball team defeated the Northeastern Jets in 3 straight games Monday evening.  The Trojans will play Thursday Oct. 16 against Anna.  The game will be held at Brookville High School at 730pm.  


*Arcanum Daily Advocate Athlete of the Week

Congratulations to Marci Bradshaw for being selected as the Daily Advocate Player of the Week.  Marci has been strong for the Lady Trojan cross country team consistently finishing up front.  She finished 14th in last weekend's CCC meet at Tri-Village


*3rd Annual Cheer Competition Set for Sunday Oct. 19

The Arcanum Boosters Club will be holding their 3rd Annual Cheer Competition this Sunday at 1pm.  Come out and support the Arcanum Booster Club and our cheerleaders!


*Youth Football\Cheer Night Scheduled

October 17th vs. Middletown Christian will be Youth Football and Cheer Night.  Come out and support our youth football and cheerleaders!


*"O'Donnell to Lindemuth" Sets New Record

Dalton Lindemuth's 87 yard reception from Daniel O'Donnell in Friday night's victory set a new record for longest touchdown reception.  


*Cross Country Report:  CCC 

The cross country teams competed in the CCC at Tri-Village on Saturday.  Isaac Stephens finished 5th for the boys with a time of 18:13.  On the girls side Marci Bradshaw was again out front finishing with a time of 21:56 good for 14th.  Taylor Harrison also finished in the top 25 with a time of 23:58. 

*Schedule Changes\Updates:

HS Volleyball:  Franklin Monroe match on Thursday Oct. 9 has been moved to Monday Oct. 6, 530pm at  Arcanum.

Varsity Football:  Middletown Christian will replace Bradford on our schedule.  The game will be played on Oct. 17, 730pm at Arcanum Booster Stadium.  

MS Football:   7th grade games vs. Miamisburg on Sept. 11 and  Belmont on Oct. 20 have been cancelled.  Miami East game on Sept. 16 will be a 5pm start at Arcanum.  Due to Bradford cancelling MS football we will replace them on Oct. 14 with Sidney Lehman Catholic.  Arcanum will play at Lehman Catholic at 530pm.


*High School Volleyball Seeded #7 in Sectional

The Arcanum High School volleyball team was selected as the #7 seed in the sectional tournament.  The Lady Trojans will play #11 seed Northeastern in their opening game at Brookville High School Monday October 13 at 6pm.


*Middle School Volleyball Teams Reach CCC Finals

The MS volleyball teams both advanced to the finals of the CCC tournament last Saturday.  Unfortunately they both were defeated by Miami East.  Nevertheless a great tournament run and season by our MS volleyballers. 


*Cross Country Report: Ed Leas Fall Classic

The cross country teams ran through the historic Fort St. Clair park Saturday in the “Ed Leas” Fall Classic in Eaton.  Again Isaac Stephens led the charge for the boys placing 15th out of 123 runners.  On the girls side Marci Bradshaw placed 23rd out of 128 runners.  Combined 8 runners set new personal records! For the MS Teams Abbigail VanHoose was out front for the girls with a time of 15:48 while the boys placed 5th with Tanner Delk (12), Isaiah Hootman (17), Dakota White (24) all receiving medals placing in the top 25.


*Arcanum Daily Advocate Player of the Week

Congratulations to Emily Miller for being selected the Daily Advocate Player of the Week for Arcanum.  Emily has been a consistent force for the Lady Trojan Volleyball team that will wrapping up the regular season this week



*Volleyball Wins Battle Over Tri-Village

The Lady Trojans defeated Tri-Village in three games Tuesday evening at the Battle Ground.  Ellie Siculan recorded 12 assists, Brittany Kinney 7 kills, and Amanda McGaffic 8 digs.  The Trojans will host Newton at the Coliseum Thursday at 530pm.


*Lady Trojans Ground Jets in Volley for the Cure Match

The Lady Trojan HS volleyball team has extended their winning streak to five, with a thrilling victory in 5 games over rival Franklin Monroe on Saturday in the Volley for the Cure match.  Shai Robinson had 8 kills, Brittany Kinney 16 assists, and Emily Miller had 8 digs.  Mckenzie Sharritts also served an impressive 12 straight points.


*Cross Country Report: Patriot Invitational
The Cross Country teams traveled to nearby New Madison for the Patriot Invitational on Tuesday Sept. 23.  The girls team finished fourth.  Marci Bradshaw finished 16th, Taylor Harrison (20th), and Kelsey Anderson (23rd) were the top times for the girls.  The boys team finished sixth with Isaac Stephens placing in 6th place, Micheal Scott (30th), and Willis Troutwine (40th).  The teams will be competing in the Blazer Invitational Saturday Sept. 27 at National Trail beginning at 10am.  

*Pohl Advances to District Golf Tournament

Congratulations to Conner Pohl for qualifying for the District Golf Tournament.  Conner was one of the top 4 individuals who advanced to the Districts.  The District Tournament will be held this coming Thursday Oct. 2 at Weather Wax Golf Course.  Good luck Conner!


*Volleyball Extends Winning Streak

The Lady Trojan Volleyball team picked up big league victories Monday over Mississinawa Valley and Bethel on Tuesday.  In Monday's 5 set victory, Brittany Kinney had 13 assists and 13 digs, Rebecca Deao 10 kills, and Michela McGaffic had 6 blocks for the trojans.  In the 3-1 victory over Bethel, Ellie Siculan recorded 18 assists, Michaela McGaffic recorded 11 kills, and Mackenzie Sharrits tallied 3 aces.


*Arcanum Daily Advocate Player of the Week

Congratulations to Haleigh Shaffer for being selected as the Daily Advocate Player of the Week.  Haleigh has been strong for the Lady Trojan golf team all year.  She finished with the 2nd best individual score in last week's CCC tournament in which the team placed 2nd.


*Golf Teams Place in CCC Tournament

The boys finished 3rd and the girls 2nd in the CCC tournament last Thursday held at Stillwater Valley Golf Club.  Conner Pohl tied for 1st with an 81 and Haleigh Shaffer finished with the 2nd best score of the day for the girls.  The boys will be back in action in the sectional tournament Tuesday 9-23 at Turtle Creek and the girls will be playing in their sectional Wednesday 9-24 at Stillwater Valley.


*Volleyball Defeats Buccs

The Lady Trojan Volleyball defeated Covington Thursday evening.  Leading the Trojans was Rebecca Daeo with 14 kills and 4 blocks, Brittany Kinney with 17 assists and 10 digs, and Alexis Abner with 18 digs and 5 assists.  The girls will be back in action Monday night vs. Mississinaw Valley 530pm

*Champions Night Sept. 26th 

This fall we will be honoring teams that will be celebrating their 35, 30, 25, 20, and 15 year anniversaries of their team championship at our fall Champions' Night event. The following teams will be honored during the football game versus TVS (9/26/14): 1979 Football, 1984 Football, 1989 Boys Cross Country, 1994 Girls Cross Country, 1994 Girls Golf, 1999 Girls Golf, and 2014 Softball. *Arcanum Daily Advocate Athlete of the Week

Congratulations to Conner Pohl for being selected this weeks Daily Advocate Player of the Week.  Conner has been an intrical part of this years boys golf team.  The golf team is in action this week competing in the CCC tournament at Stillwater Valley Golf Club. 


*Volleyball Downs Blazers

The HS Lady Trojan volleyball team defeated National Trail Thursday night in three sets.  Michaela McGaffic had 10 kills, Emily Miller 13 digs, and Brittany Kinney had 10 assists for the Trojans.  The girls will be back in action Monday vs. Dixie.  


*Daniel O'Donnell Selected Darke Co. Athlete of the Week

Congratulations to Daniel O'Donnell for being selected as the Daily Advocate Athlete of the Week for Darke County.  Daniel rushed for 260 yards and 5 touchdowns against Northridge Johnstown in the first week of the football season.  


*Cross Country Report:  Brookville Invitational

The cross country runners ran through Golden Gate Park in the Brookville Invitational last Saturday.  Isaac Stephens led the pack with a time of 18:17.  Stephens placed 9th.  


*Boys and Girls Golf Pick Up Victories

The boys defeated Bethel and the girls earned a victory over Valley View last week.  The girls shot a season team low of 218. Franchesca Hackworth and Abbe Hissong both shot career lows.  The boys impressed at Bethel with a team score of 152.  Justin Hoke and Conner Pohl led the way both shooting a 36.  

*Cross Country Runners Compete in Covington Invitational

The girls were led by Marci Bradshaw with a time of 23.05 and the boys were paced by Michael Scott with a time of 20.04.  All in all 8 runners achieved their personal records!
