Superintendent's Message

Welcome to the Arcanum-Butler Local School District.  The 2020-2021 school year was unlike any we have experienced.  I want to thank our students for their efforts, our parents and community for their support and our staff for their continued dedication to the students.  It was with great cooperation and support that we were able to successfully complete the school year under such challenging circumstances.

That same support will be needed as we are still experiencing challenging times at home and at school.  More than ever, I am grateful for small-town living and a community that rallies together to support their local school.

In this, my 10th year as the Superintendent of Arcanum-Butler Local Schools, I pledge to do my best to lead and serve the district to the best of my abilities.  Our mission remains ...to provide a caring and safe environment where students are challenged to become lifelong learners and productive citizens. To do so, we must continue to work as a community to provide the necessary support and encouragement for all of our students.

Arcanum-Butler Local Schools encourages our students and staff to embrace The Trojan Way.  We believe that taking pride in all that we do and striving for excellence will continue to place our district at the top of the county and region in academic performance, and prepare our students intellectually, socially and emotionally.  The Trojan Way will help guide us through this year and beyond.

On behalf of the district, I want to thank you for your continued support of our students and invite you stay connected and informed throughout the year.  The Arcanum-Butler School District continues to be an outstanding place for students to learn and grow!

Loyal & True,

John N. Stephens
